Me & my daughter were just sitting in a restaurant in San Francisco yesterday talking about how we can't wait to move back to Michigan in the spring & take the kids to Griffin Claw so there's that!! We totally dig this place & haven't had a meal or experience we didn't enjoy. The sauce that goes with the steak bites is to die for & I like to get it & use it for my French dip or the fries. The service is always great & yeah....can't wait to get back.

This is an excellent restaurant that always packs in a crowd. They have an incredible beer selection, which is kind of what they're known for, but I like many of the food options they offer as well over the years. The pretzel burger has been a consistent, reliable choice I'm my most recent visit. I had the hanger steak and I thought that was absolutely fantastic. Steak was perfectly cooked. The fries are fresh and crispy in the Chop or zip sauce that came with the dish was absolutely over the top completely. Enjoyed it. No hesitation to go back.

We have never been to Griffin Claw before and decided to try it while in town. WOW are we glad that we did! We joined the waitlist on Yelp. When we were seated our server greeted us right away. He brought our drinks out very soon after that as well. I started with the Fineapple cider and it was crisp and refreshing! Great Apple and pineapple flavors. We started with the garlic cheese curds and they were phenomenal. Weirdly enough, the marinara dipping sauce was really good. My husband and son had the soup of the day, which was a beef stew and they both loved it. I had the French onion soup and it was perfect. I loved the addition of the crispy onions on top as well. I had the fish and chips and oh myyyyyy goshhhh. So crispy, so flavorful, buttery, and delicious. Loved the coleslaw. Loved the fries. So so good! They were served super hot and fresh. Yum! I asked my server to surprise me with my next cider and he chose the Blah Blah Burst, which was blue. It was AMAZING. It was their spin on Baja Blast as a cider. Overall, amazing dinner here. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the decor. Loved all of the TVs with college football on.

Love the decor here. Breweries need to stand out in aesthetics and food, not just beer. Im pleased to say, GC does all of the above. My bartender, May, was very cool. Ordered the, Great White Buffalo. It was a beast at 11%. The Cherry cider was too. I went to their other location a few days later and ate. Very good!

Best burgers in the Rochester area! Try the pretzel bun, and order your meat 'pink' so you can savor the custom blended grind of beef. Oh, and order a beer while you're there!

I stopped in yesterday for dinner and had a Truffle burger and fries. The burger was excellent and cooked to perfection. The fries are the shoestring style and probably my least favorite type of fry. There is ample parking and there is a lot of seating with a big patio area. I have been there a few times and there has been a wait, but yesterday I was able to find a spot at the bar with no issue. Service was excellent yesterday. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly. There is a nice selection of beer/cider cans for sale as well as other brewery swag (shirts, etc).

I've enjoyed Griffin Claw's brews for some time, and I'm glad this was on the way to an appointment, right off M-59 on Crooks. Brewpubs have gotten smart in recent years, adding good food options and liquor. My wife appreciates that last bit...she liked the Moscow Mule. The brewed options here really set Griffin Claw apart from other brewpubs, with great vodka and soda options blended with fruit juice on tap, or you can get these in cans at the shop that you walk past at the entrance. And, there are some really ambitious beers, including paczki and marshmallow flavored stouts. The Glass Armor barley wine is superb...smooth, with a robust barley flavor...and a massive 13% alcohol. For $9, you get a 10 ounce glass...it's like drinking 3 beers at once, but you won't know it until you try to stand up. The food here is good enough that I would seriously eat here even if they didn't have the beer. The Not Popeye's Chicken Sandwich is...a damn good impersonation of a Popeye's sandwich. There's a massive crunch and terrific flavor. It's served with a chipotle mayo that perfectly compliments it. I got the sweet potato tots as a side. The sweetness makes it an acquired taste - I wish they had regular tots - but they're not bad. The salmon sandwich is mind blowing. You can't tell from the picture, but it's a 3 inch thick plank of beautifully prepared salmon. Really. The shoestring fries are a great compliment. Eating all of that in a single sitting is a real challenge. We took half of it home. The service is really good. The waiters are - and I do mean this as a compliment - dudes dressed casually rather than wearing a company uniform. It does set the mood for a casual dinner with drinks. The prices are appropriate for the massive portions and the quality. Definitely worth a return trip.

Great food. Loved the sliders and I am not a big sliders person. Loved the steak and their drinks. Really enjoyed the ambiance. The servers were friendly and offered us help when we couldn't decide what to get. One of the places that I definitely would visit again whenever I'm in Michigan.
